The opening day of the BT Paralympic World Cup belonged to two men, 5,500 people and the Rest of the World, as Athletics got the event underway. It’s still all to play for as we enter our second day of competition with Football 7-a-side first round matches, let’s see if the Rest of the World can hold on to their strong lead.

31 May | 3.30 pm The second of the Women's 50 m freestyle event has swimmers for team GBR in first, second and fourth place with the swimmer representing Europe taking the third placed points.
31 May | 3.30 pm The overall Trophy Leaderboard is very close and the final placings will be down to these last few events in today's swimming at the BT Paralympic World Cup. Rest of the World is in first place, Europe in second, Great Britain in third and Americas in fourth.
31 May | 3.35 pm The Americas have picked up points for their team with Lamback coming in third place in the Mens 50 m Freestyle. Swimmers representing Great Britain came first, second and fourth picking up valuable points.
31 May | 3.40 pm At the start of the final event of the swimming, Rest of the World are in first place in the overall Trophy Leaderboard.
31 May | 3. 40 pm 100 m Breastroke event for women team GBR have picked up points by finishing first, second and fourth and Henshaw gets a new World Record. Khrul for Europe finishes in third.

Despite the Great Britain team finishing first in swimming competition the team Trophy leaderboard is not changed, the Rest of the World are in first place.

31 May | 4. 00 pm After an exciting six days of competition the Rest of the World are the overall winners of the BT Paralympic World Cup Challenge. We are already looking forward to 2011 and the 7th Paralympic World Cup.
